What is E-Learning!

E-Learning is new and is suited for distance learning using electronic technologies such as your computer. E-Learning is a virtual classroom (i.e. e-class) that allow for real-time, synchronous communication and learning over the internet.

•  (Synchronous Learning – Training program in which the student and instructor participate at the same time).

Using e-class to deliver training allows instructors to be independently located from their students. Only a web browser and a microphone-equipped headset are required to attend or lead a virtual class. This eliminates time, distance, and travel costs as obstacles to training. The virtual classroom replicates the characteristics of a traditional classroom.

The IOSS will be using this new technology to teach the below OPSEC courses. Classes will be limited to 20 students.

If interested in signing-up to attend an E-learning class go to the top of our website at www.ioss.gov . Click on access on E-Commerce system to order products and training.
